How To Make HABSHI HALWA Learn In Urdu / Hindi



Milk 4 cup
Sumac 2 tbsp
Refined Flour 4 tbsp
Citric Acid ¼ tsp
Alum ¼ tsp
Water ¼ cup
Sugar 5 tbsp
Brown Food Color 1 pinch
Nutmeg Powder ¼ tsp
Mace Powder ¼ tsp
Liquid Glucose 1 tbsp
Clarified Butter 2 tbsp
Pistachios, Almonds (finely cut) for sprinkling


• Mix citric acid, alum and water in a bowl.
• Boil milk in a pot.
• Mix sumac and flour in remaining milk, add to pot and cook stirring continuously make sure lumps arre not formed.
• Bring to boil and remove from flame.
• Add citric acid mixture and set aside for 4 hours.
• Add butter, sugar and set a side for another 4 hours.
• Cook this mixture till little water remains.
• Add remaining sugar, butter, food color, nutmeg, mace and liquid glucose and remove from flame.
• Remove in a greased dish, even out with a sppon and sprinkle almonds and pistachios on top.
• Cut into pieces when set and serve.
