A preposition is a word or group of words e.g. in, on, out of and on behalf of which are used before a noun or pronoun to show place, position, time or method. There are two types of prepositions. One is fixed and the other is unfixed.
Following are some of the examples of unfixed prepositions. While there are no rules for fixed prepositions, only one has to learn them by heart.
